Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
Once again, JK Rowling has created another masterpiece. But, when I was finished reading, I just couldn't get that great sense of adventure, mystisism, and magic that I felt in all the other books.
First, you find out the wizarding world is actually at war in a fight between good and evil. You would think there would be many chapters in the novel of action, drama, and revelation, but it is not so.
During school, there are no new spells from teachers and new amazing subjects being discussed. Harry is Quidditch Captain, yet no games are discribed and Harry does not play in the final because he has to go to a detention with Snape.
The private lessons with Dumbledore were pretty boring. Voldemorts past did not seem to have much originality.
The book had it good moments, but there was too much talking and not enough action. I love Harry Potter books. I adore them. But I didn't find that sense of wonder and imagination that usually sweeps me into fantasy.
I found it very much like a monolouge and nothing new.
It was still a pretty good book and you should read it, but I desperatly hope Book 7 will be much more adventurous and magical, and so JK Rowling can really show her stuff.
